Milk Glass

I have recently been adding to my small collection of milk glass. These are a few of my favorite pieces. The pretty vase on the right I won in the 60's at a Chinese auction. I attended it with my grandmother, mother and sister. I think it is the very first thing I ever won! A few years ago I found the covered dish that matches for 10$ at a garage sale. The taller vase was an antique shop find for 12$ and I bought the ruffled dish on ebay and I can't remember the price, but knowing me it was a bargain!
Milk glass is very inexpensive and a great thing to collect if you don't have much to spend.

Hey, Mary, thanks for the vote of confidence. I can't wait to start that project soon. I think it's going to make a huge difference in my DR & the lighter color too. My hubby just shakes his head at all the stuff I tackle. I think he likes it though that I'm a DIYer. Helps out the budget!

Hi Mary
The milk glass is lovely. Is the tall vase with the pink on the inside Fenton? See you Saturday.

Mary, Mary, I don't think I have ever seen milk glass with painted flowers on it. Great taste girl! The covered dish is my favorite.

Thanks for visiting my blog. You really need to see Blue Ridge pottery. So cheerful.

I actually retired very early. I loved teaching but just too much paperwork!
