Sour Cream Coffee Cake

I will never forget the first time I had this cake. I was in high school and my friend Janet, who lived next door, was making it. She had me lick the spoon of this scrumptious batter and it was love at first taste. I think the batter tastes as good or better than the baked cake, it's that good. I have made this again and again. Its a standby that never disappoints.
Cake
2 large eggs
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup sour cream
Topping
1 cup walnuts
1/4 cup sugar
1tsp cinnamon
Bake 350 -apx 45 mins in greased spring or bundt pan
Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together in bowl.
In another bowl blend butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs.
Add flour mixture and sour cream alternately to butter mixture. Stir till combined.
In buttered pan add 1/2 the batter mixture, sprinkle with 3/4 of the sugar, walnut and cinnamon mixture. Top with rest of batter and sprinkle with remaining walnut mixture.

Mary this so reminds me of cake my Mom used to make. It has very similar ingredients but the nuts went in the batter. It was yummy too. I will definitely try it and I know I will enjoy it. Thanks. RJ
