I didn't know there were Seven Official Natural Wonders of New Jersey, but after visiting this Garden of Eden, I'm going to find the other six! We hiked Sunday, straight up 1.2 miles to the top of the mountain where Sunfish Pond is located. This picture was taken from the Appalachian Trail that passes the pond here. Do you see the little Stonehedge formation? I'm sure some hiker had fun putting that up!

I didn't know about them either and I live only an hour from New Jersey. Isn't mountain laurel the most beautiful flower. It grows all over Minnewaska State Park here in NY and we always hike there when it's blooming.
What a great place to hike. The pink and white Mountain Laurels are fantastic. Wish I had a flower bed full of those.
Garden of Eden - like the sound of it.
Funny and I can see the rock formation :-) They must have a blast doing that I bet. and have to agree. the pink flowers that aren't open yet sure looks like icing piped on the cake :-) yum! LoL
Now my fave, that pond(?) within the forest. It's beautiful. It looks untouched and I hope it stays that way.
